The all time UK classic freestyle board with the double concave and flick tips. Now in a much thinner, lighter and more flexible guise it is fast and efficient with lots of comfort. At home in the chop and flat, in freeride or freestyle, the protoy has been the benchmark in the everyday performance board since 2004.

The Protoy is suited to the rider looking for refined freestyle performance with riding comfort normally only found in a freeride board. The secret lies in the unique double concave bottom combined with the new generation 3 stage rocker and 3 stage outline, these enable the Protoy to work perfectly in just about any conditions. This performs in conjunction with the high level of damping and response found in our multi-zone Biotech core and custom X carbon bracing.

Team Series - Multizone Biotech Carbon

Highlighting the freestyle performance of the Protoy, Airush introduce the 135 Protoy Team developed in conjunction with Dutch Champion Bass Koole. The the Protoy 135 Team features their groundbreaking Biotech Carbon construction for the true Protoy fanatic.

The Protoy 135 Team features all of the core technology of Airush's industry leading Multi Zone Biotech. This is combined with a Full UD Carbon & Biaxial glass Layer top and bottom, with additional Biaxial reinforcing in the standing and insert area. The Protoy team is then finished with Airush's unique ultra light matt finish for minimum weight and absolute performance.

• Rails - Square ABS for durability and a fast clean water release
• Rocker - 3 stage 'competition' rocker for speed and early planning, compact flick tips for comfort in chop
• Flex - Medium stiffness rating for a good blend of comfort and pop
• Shape outline - The wide tips of the protoy offer a huge level of pop blended with stability at speed. Three stage outline with freestyle orientated tip ratio.
• Bottom Shape - The double concave softenes the ride in choppy conditions. increases the directional stability at speed and enhances edging and low wind performance.
• Fins - The 5cm transit fin offer increases grip and and stability as a result of the intermediate cutaway trailing edge. 


Fly Tech II Construction:
The lightweight core is combined with directionally optimised glass for optimum flex and durability in conjuction with a high density foam sandwich. This ensures the boards remains as light as possible and still survive aggressive riding.

Multizone Biotech Core:
The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a vertical wood core sandwich comprising of a dual desity Balsa and poplar core with ABS rail and tips. The higher density poplar stringer creates a hyper responsive center section while the outer balsa section minimizes the weight.

The Airush wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile tri axial laminate, for all-round performance and durability.

As flexible as a PU board but made from high modulus carbon fiber, giving much more reflex and strength.

The patented ACTIVE stringer does not interfere with the flex, but stops the board from breaking when the board is placed under abnormal load.
